Pakistan Rejects Claims of Mossad Plot to Assassinate Asim Munir
Pakistani officials have dismissed and rejected claims made by a Brazilian journalist regarding a Mossad plot to assassinate Pakistan's Army Chief, Asim Munir, and members of the Pakistani delegation during their visit to Switzerland, describing them as "baseless" and "utterly nonsensical."
Pakistani officials rejected the allegations concerning a plot by the Zionist regime's espionage agency (Mossad) targeting Army Chief Asim Munir and his accompanying delegation during their recent trip to Switzerland.
Pakistani authorities labeled the claim as "groundless" and "completely meaningless."
The allegation was originally raised by Pepe Escobar, a Brazilian journalist, during a podcast hosted by political analyst Mario Nawfal.
Escobar claimed that the Pakistani military had received credible intelligence regarding a purported Mossad plot aimed at targeting Asim Munir and other Pakistani officials who had traveled to Switzerland for diplomatic consultations related to the recent Iran-US talks.
According to the journalist, the alleged plot was linked to meetings at the Bürgenstock resort in Switzerland, where Pakistani and Qatari delegations were participating in discussions connected to the Iran-US negotiations, aimed at advancing efforts to end the broader conflicts in West Asia.
However, Pakistani officials completely rejected the claim, stating that it lacks any factual basis.
